Hello guys,
I usually use RainX or Carnuba wax on my windshield so I don't need to use much of the wiper blades. However, past 4 weeks was crazy moving back from NJ to NC and couldn't apply the product to the windshield.
Anyway, last night, due to heavy rain, I put the wipers on Auto, and after few mins, the right/passenger wiper got stuck under left/driver one and after that it stooped working. Luckily the driver one was working and was able to drive the rest of the travel.
I recently got brand new OEM blades as part of 80k miles PPM maintenance.
1. Is the wiper system/motor covered under ELW or is that a wear and tare item? I know the blades are same as brake pads and bulbs, but what about the arm and motor?
2. Did anyone saw something like that before? The rain is heavy and the glass is well lubricated to get stuck under one another. There might be any possibility of the defective blade?
Happy Update:
Turns out, when the Safelite guys replaced the windshield, he didn't tighten enough.
On the W211, the nut holding the wiper arm tight would loosen. Try popping the caps off the cover and checking to see if the nuts are tight. Other than that, it could be linkage.

In the past:
When they did my passenger side window glass replacement, they forgot to tighten the actuator and over tightened another part that caused the speaker wire to come in-between and caused bad tweeter noise.
