Plan on buying 2013 e550
I am aware of the timing chain issues for this engine. I looked up the engine number and supposedly engine with numbers 30 191844 (correct me if I’m wrong) and better have been improved. But the engine number to that car is below that. Should I be weary of buying this car? The mileage is 34k miles. What are the chances of this car will have those timing chain issues?

How many timing chain issues have you seen posted here or elsewhere with the early M278? I don't think it is an issue at all. Buy a 2014 if you are worried, but it isn't a rampant problem.
You could buy the car and pay for insurance to cover the drivetrain if you feel that is the car you want. My GT350 has the potential to use oil and if it gets bad FORD will give me a new motor. So far so good, but I have warranty out to 2025 so not worried about it at all. It is my track car.
Don't miss an opportunity to own one of these rare TTV8 cars. They are fantastic.

yes I agree. I definitely want to experience the TTv8 especially since its not made anymore. I see the posts and it scares me a little that’s all. I heard even the 2014 has the issue the 2015 is where it’s mostly bulletproof. But I don’t wanna to shell out 35k right now. I found a 13 with 34k miles for 18k.
