Advertised as E550, vin check says it's a E500?
Hey team, not sure if it's me missing something, or there is something strange going on.
I am currently in the process of purchasing my first Mercedes Benz. The car has been advertised (by a second hand dealer) and registered in New Zealand as an E550. Here is our local number plate checker site: https://www.carjam.co.nz/car/?plate=mms521
But when I run the VIN number through any vin checker websites, they all state that the car is a E500? https://www.vindecoderz.com/EN/check...2120722A031787
Is this normal? Or is something strange going on?
Any help before I make the purchase would be great!

It's a Euro or Asian spec and they are known more commonly as the E500 as far as I know. It is, however equipped with the M273 5.5L motor, the same as used in the 2010-2011 USA E550.
Sorry for any confusion there. Naturally aspirated. TTV8 M278 came in 2012
