Happy Saturday contributors,
Had the unfortunate experience of driving through an intense sand storm along the Grapevine the Saturday evening after Thanksgiving.
It was something I've never experienced. Large diameter sand - as big and 3 mm diameter. It blasted the exposed frontal surfaces for about 30 seconds.
Needless to say the headlights, bumper, and windshield took it like a mother.
A lot of good threads here about upgrades to HID / Xenon.
My assys are Halogen and I somewhat satisfied with them - I guess. Never owned HID/Xenon.
A pair of OEM halos are about $700 at MB of Scottsdale and the FCP is selling a set of Hella for $510.
Questions:
Are the Hella aftermarket as good as the MB? The Hella are made in Slovenia. No clue about the MB.
What would you purchase ?
Appreciate your comments

On these cars OEMs are Hellas with a MBZ logo. Get the Hellas and save a ton of money. I wouldn't get any other aftermarket brand - the lighting quality is just not there.
[edit] I forgot to mention - check the prices on RM European. They usually have among the best prices and free shipping

Why not just make an insurance claim under comprehensive? People get coverage for hail storms all the time, this is just a different type of storm.
You can shop around and maybe get them a little cheaper than FCP Euro. They're good for the lifetime warranty but charge a little more. Not sure you need that with headlights. You can just replace the headlight covers too, but they're not that cheap around $100 for the pair. Basically you bake the old ones to loosen the glue and then replace the covers.
