2104 E350: drivers lock cylinder won't come out.....

So.......our daughter came home from college last weekend, and parked her car (2014 E350) outside the garage, behind my car. my wife needed to go somewhere, and proceeded to back into Shae's driver door on her way out!!!! i'm not kidding!!

The damage appears to be minimal (wife says it will just "pop" out) but i assume that it has bent the support channel and won't "pop" out. i have the door panel off, but can't get the lock cylinder to release. i have loosened the T15 through the end of the door, and the cylinder and housing is loose, it just won't come out! The locks are unlocked, i can see the internal end of the cylinder rotate when i use the actual key in the cylinder........it just won't come out of the door. there appears to be an ever-so-slight downward angle of the door handle due to the damage, so i wonder if that is affecting it.

i don't have WIS, so i don't know if there is some other procedure / suggestion / tip for its removal. for reference, i've removed the glass, drilled the 10 rivets holding the interior panel/regulator frame in place. lock actuator is loose and ready to come out with the regulator/panel assembly.

anyone have suggestions? i have thought about trying to see if the passenger side will come out as expected, but i really don't want to cause some issue with that one also! does anyone have a picture they could post of the internal end of the cylinder, the part inside the door.

in the attached pictures, you can see how much the locking screw is backed-off, and see that the cylinder housing is loose, but the cylinder remains tight.

You can see the lighter shade on the shaft showing how far it is backed-off.

The outside housing is loose, but the cylinder is still in original position.

appreciate any assistance..........

Nevermind..........got it figured out.

Found the attached picture on-line (from eBay!!) that shows how the cylinder is retained. The T-15 retaining screw is captive, and will not, as mentioned in a couple youTube videos: "fall out to the bottom of your door if you unscrew it all the way......." or similar critical statements.

The retaining screw IS CAPTIVE as shown here, and needs to be unscrewed all the way so the cylinder can be removed. maybe i will do a video showing THE IMPORTANT DETAILS of removing the door panel, removing the inner panel/regulator panel, removing the door handle, etc.or maybe just some still pix and detailed dialog in a pdf that i can post here.
