What is the correct procedure to install m276 intake gaskets?
Hello contributors,
Ran into a small snafu while I was replacing my intake gaskets. I incorrectly installed the new gaskets on the resonator (intake manifold). It did not reassemble correctly and idled misfiring.
I think the correct method is to install the green seal on the engine side like in this video.
Can someone help me out here ? Thanks

Yes the video is correct. Make sure you have the gaskets placed on the intake manifold all the way down. As I remember, there is a small square notch on the manifold that registers with a notch on the rubber gaskets that must be aligned. The gaskets go on first then drop the resonator down on to them. I had to remove the resonator to gain access to the right front cover to replace the cam tensioner on that side. It took me two tries to get the resonator back on correctly with the gaskets not unseated. You can look in underneath as you are lowering the resonator to check that they are not unseated. I successfully removed and reinstalled my resonator twice during that cam tensioner repair. It is important to have all the vacuum and electrical connectors plugged back correctly. I missed a connector on my first R&I and the motor ran terrible and threw a CEL. Actually, not a bad R&I but tedious none the less.
You can see the square notches on my manifold above.
Good luck,
Bob

I guess I'm not the only one. I put the seals on the top, as that's where they were stuck to when I took the intake off. Didn't seem right, and now I have a vacuum leak. Appreciate this info!
