Thinking about this some more, one of the best things about the 550 is that it's totally stealth but a rocket. Anything custom to make it stand out is also waving a flag to the cops. I've been in multiple situations where I totally blew past cops or gunned it right by a cop, and they don't even look twice at a common sedan.
400 may not be as fast, but I think a lot of the same can apply, so just the basic standard plate.
Once I had a beige Honda civic with a crushed corner. Got it fixed and decided to paint it canary yellow. On the way home from the paint shop I was pulled over. Same idea, don't stand out to the cops by looking fast, or bragging about it with flashy bits. That car was about the slowest I've ever owned.

When my econobox diesels reach 130 mph just fine, jon has a point about being flashy.
Just read the article about last cannonball run, where the owner alerted his AMG to look like a .................Honda.

my windows (including my windshield) is at 10% all around and the car just looks super clean with it. Everyone laughs, and cops love it. Usually gets me out of tickets too every once in a while 😂
