Any one know what's the factory color temperature of E350 headlight bulbs? FCPeuro suggests Osram 39663 as OE part with 4300K color temp. However I am not sure if it matches the other bulb's color or not. Unfortunately a while ago I went to a carwash and after carwash I got a error to check my low beam and high beam assistant doesnt work. I am still not sure if the ballast is burnt or it's just the bulb. but my mechanic told me that no matter what, the bulb should be changed (even if it's ballast) and considering to change driver side ballast, whole bumper should be removed, I dont want to risk it and will change the bulb. I am just not sure which bulb to purchase....
I am not sure if you guys by checking the below images can guess the color temp:
Well, either way, the bulb won’t match up to the other side, due to the different amount of hours on each bulb, so I’d personally replace the pair, given that you get the fault of high beam assist and whatnot after a car wash, it’s most likely a ballast that has gone bad, or it could be bad timing
but try switching the passenger side bulb over to the driver side. I’m in the GTA and I have a spare bulb you can try it with, it’s an older bulb but last time I disconnected, it worked fine.
As mentioned, for sure replace both bulbs due to burn in times. You'll need D1S bulbs. if interested, we have Morimoto D1S bulbs which are factory spec equivalent. Or if you want to upgrade, we carry Osram Xenarc CBI, CBH, and CBB bulb as well as Philips 85415 XV2 XTREME Vision bulbs which are the highest LUX rated in the market.
