i’m hoping someone can shed some light on the current problem i am experiencing with my E350. (85,000 miles)
i have a judder on light acceleration. To the point where i have to let off the throttle and start again. I have read problems linking to the 7G auto gearbox however i think this is definitely more Engine management
The EML is currently on and will not clear. The following codes are on the ECU...
so far i have changed all the orange seals on the Inlet pipe (Y-pipe) , inspected all the turbo hoses (all fine)
replaced the seals on the aluminium pipe coming off the turbo. Pic for ref.
i have called MB for a price on the MAF and they advised they do not supply this part anymore? I think this would be the next step to replace the MAF before looking at any potential ECU defect.
The codes clearly show the MAF.
I know on this engine you have 2 MAFs who are part of "Moose horn" pipe, what makes the repair expensive, but MAF is not the part you want to fool with.

FWIW......
MAF are now only sold as an assembly with the air intake duct, some people refer as the bat wing.
I purchased MFA with duct assembly for my 2007 in December 2019 new delivered for $360.00 from FCP euro{purchased from them for the lifetime exchange warranty].
Look up the correct part number for your vehicle and shop, as the price difference will surprise you.
