2012 E350 BlueTec Shifting Issue
Just purchased a new / used 2012 E350 BlueTec. I have previously owned a 2014 GL350 and GLK250 also both BlueTecs.
With the 2012 E350 if I use the paddles to shift manually the car will never shift back to automatic unless I hold the right paddle for about 1-second. This is not how the 2014 GL or GLK behaved. In those vehicles they would eventually go back into automatic mode by itself unless the car was decelerating and no throttle was employed. Otherwise they would go back into automatic mode based on driving conditions.. Is there a problem with the 2012? If so what is recommended? Thanks, Dan aka dofdear

I have an '11 E350 BT and it does the same thing on the paddle shifters.
I think this is part of the 'Sport' package. Just have to remember to hold the right paddle for a second when you want out of 'manual'.
