Help, can't remove rearview mirror to fix sunroof

Help, can't remove rearview mirror to fix sunroof

Hi, I own a 2010 E250 with a panoramic sunroof. Hadn't opened the sunroof since last year until last week. I got grinding sound and the shade won't open. I think I can fix it if it's the washer trick on the motor. My problem is this..
I set out to remove the roof lining, or at least drop the front bit so i can get at the motors. I can't for the life of me get the rear view mirror to come off so I can access the 3 screws on the frame underneath. I've pulled at it and used persuasion tools, bit am afraid it's gonna just snap at this stage. Any advice on this would be appreciated

2010 E550

I've an E550 in the US and the rearview mirror removes as shown in this video - as it says "removed with some muscle power". It's held in with a spring loaded pin that fits in two recesses.

Eventually got it, the spring had seized and wouldn't budge. When I eventually forced it out it dropped and broke wiring inside the mirror, so had no reading lights and the auto dim didn't work anymore. Got a new one off ebay, so all good now. Another over engineered item from Mercedes
