Rodents eating wiring

Hi all,

It just noticed a partial eaten wire harness (exposing two cables, seemingly untouched). Obviously I need to take care of these rodents. But what can I do about the damaged cable?
Can I just wrap it in electrical tape.
The cable runs from the exhaust pressure sensor to....?

Thanks for the input!

buy a good electric tape and wrap the wire. Buy rodent killer food also.

I saw a segemnt on Motorweek where they demonstrated the Permatex Liquid electrical Tape (paint it on), to seal the wires better than tape.

Overwrap with tape if you want to be certain.

And yes, second on the rodent bait. A good pellet gun works, too, if you have some time and want some fun.

If you can wrap with electric tape to build up and then if you can slip over heat shrink tube to seal the tape.

Then get a mean cat or something to keep them rats away.... as they can do all sorts of damage.
Look around on car as you may have way more and if you have not driven much a little rat home somewhere inthe car.

Or wrap it with Honda rodent tape.

They really don't have to be that mean. Cats like to play with rodents and actually dispatching them can sometimes be a rather lengthy process so best not to watch. i would strongly advise against buying expensive matte finish paint though as the $8450 British Racing Green on my new 2024 Jag F-pace SVR is already scratched up and has muddy paw prints all over it. And did I mention $8450? Should have gone with cheap plain white.
