Noise while parked - 2016 E350

Noise while parked - 2016 E350
Anyone know what this might be? I have not heard it before but consistently tonight about once per minute this happens from engine bay.

That's weird, I listened five or six times on full volume, still can't really make it out. I had a noise coming from the car at night after one of us got home, I was told the car was purging the charcoal filter in the fuel system, but this is different I think. Boy, you're not having a good week!

It did stop after I opened the hood to listen to pinpoint where it was coming from. Once the hood was open it never made the noise again.
It has a bad hood switch, so maybe that has something to do with it? Any time the hood is opened it has to be closed 2-3x to get the open hood warning to go away. I gotta get this fixed at my next dealer trip.
