Last fall, I was in Italy and Spain, the tail lights on those cars do a flashing thing when braking, that was awesome! Wonder if that is available with this mod?

Yeah that's something different, I am not sure that US cars do this. Do our US cars activate the hazard lights after a panic stop?

I don't know, my 2007 S550 did. I have not had a panic stop yet in the E's anyhow if you saw the the brake light sparkle pattern on Euro cars, it's amazing.

Are the bi-xenon projectors able to mechanically shade out other cars? I had a 2014 C-class with the same system your 2012 is using and it did not seem like that would have been possible. With my 2016 you can see the headlights change the actual beam pattern shape to various conditions, even before this activation. The C didn't do this.

You mean that 628 was activated by Vladimir? My build sheet shows 640 (full LED headlights) and 608 (Adaptive Highbeam Assist) but naturally not 628 as Adaptive Highbeam Assist Plus was never offered in North America.

Currently I can only do, auto high beam and active curvelight (using the steering).

Yes 628 was activated by the module. It will be on your car as well. It will not show up on the datacard, but it will function.

+1 here.
the ILS mod works and the feature functions as advertised. Test drove it last night and I got lucky to have both oncoming and ahead of me at the same time. both cars remained dark, even through elevation changes and humps. it is definitely a cool conversation bit but basically, we are looking to spend $500 to benefit everyone that will ever cross (or share) paths with us and our cars. But yea, we are cool like that....

So how do we order and find out the cost for combining other features (like AMG menu and agility, etc)? Any sort of group by potentially being arranged?

Is the illumination more like the high beams with the other cars masked or closer to low beam illumination when the other cars are present?

More like high beams and masking. Infact, it appears to have replaced the adaptive hight beam enable option with the ILS

Is anyone out there aware of someone with Xentry/DAS in or around Cleveland? Who is not the dealer? I doubt they will activate the K11 option for the brake light strobe option.

@ccww It is distinctly high-beam with fitting a black box around the car in front. It allows the sides of the road to illuminate so much better than with just low beams that I'm pretty sure it is giving a visual advantage to the car in front, as well. I am curious to test it and see what it is like to drive in front of my E at night now.

No the headlights will still adapt height. You'll see with more driving - the headlights are way more active than before.

I happened upon one of my favorite websites that I haven't been to in quite some time, and found an excellent descriptor for those who have the LED Intelligent Lighting System. It also talks about the various Multibeams' systems as well.

That's good info - it is really difficult to film this in action, and there is very little official video of this system. Most searches will take you to the multibeams in the CLS, which is a different thing.
I still have not gotten around to testing to see if the brake lights do anything different in terms of adjusting brightness. I suspect this will not work in the US due to it being different hardware.
