Aux Input - No Sound
I first noticed that no sound would go through the aux input when trying to install an aftermarket Android screen whereby the sound of videos and other programs run on the screen would be played on the car's speakers via a 3.5MM connection through the aux input in the center storage box. All other audio worked fine. But it made the screen useless if the new navigation, apple car play etc. could not be heard.
So I got frustrated and stopped. I then tried to get normal stereo sound to run through the aux input from my phone and my laptop. No go.
The aux input is clearly setup in my car, as I have an "aux" selection in my music input choices (FM, AM, SAT, BT, Aux, etc.). So I have clearly selected that choice, then chose to boost the sound from the source, and even turned up the volume on the source (in this case my phone). No go.
Before I start looking to spend money on wires, etc., is there anything I am missing? Do I need to make a change in the engineering mode screen? To be frank, I am out of ideas.
Any help would be appreciated.
Scott

The Best of Mercedes & AMG
I have installed 2 of these 12.3" android audio screens, one my 2012 e350 convertible (Works flawlessly), and the other on my 2013 GL450. I spent over 6 hours on 3 different attempts, I could not get the android audio to work. It works in MB mode radio/bluetooth everything works, but when I try to use the android mode, no sound is being output from the Audio OUT cable. I tested with a portable speaker. Suggestions?
2013 GL450 / NT4.5. I was able to access the engineering menu on the android system previously (forgot how, i installed this one year ago) and only able to use factory MB radio/bluetooth, android audio never worked. I gave up after 6 wasted hours. Wanted to see if anyone was successful. I did enable AUX previously, and I recently tested the Audio OUT 3.5mm cable from the android unit, no signal to my portable wireless speaker when I tested it. No clue what UCI is and never learned where the MB engineering menu mode is
But using the MB bluetooth works perfect.
I had the problem that everything was working, but the audio was playing on my phone.
So connected to MB bluetooth and it works.
I left the car for an hour, came back and everything connected by itself.
I will try tomorrow with another phone, to see if that works.
