Service Reset with Foxwell NT530

Just wondering whether anyone has successfully done a service reset using Foxwell. I bought the Foxwell NT-530 for my Bimmer and added MB program hoping it could be useful when comes down to services the car. However, tried it the past weekend after the oil change. The app failed to reset, and gave me error about the past service was not recorded (or something like that, I don't actually remember). The last service was also done by myself and I reset the service via the instrument panel. Anyway, just wondering anyone has any success with the tool.

I wonder what several things could go wrong if you reset the service intervals by not using the instrument panel and procedure offered by Mercedes-Benz?

I too was wondering why you would want to reset it with a tool instead of through the cluster. I can see airbag or CEL's but not for service reset items like brakes, oil and tpms.

Either way I'll be keeping an eye out on this thread because I am planning on buying a Foxwell for my F30 and would like to know its compatibility with the W212.

I have an F25. Just did a transfer oil replacement. It was very handy to do a reset with the fool. So I added program for MB (for additional $60), but so far after two months ownership, I have not found too useful yet.
