Replacement blower motor question

Received a behr hella replacement AC blower motor today. Motor is very stiff, as in resistant to rotating. Anyone else experienced this with a replacement? I would’ve expected it to spin freely. It has a little axial play so it doesn’t appear to be binding. Trying to decide if I should return it. Seems to me it’s going to run pretty hot due to the friction.

thanks

If it were me I'd ask for a replacement, I've replaced two blowers in my W212 and a front and rear in an SUV, all were relatively easy to spin. By easy to spin I'd say if you gave them a good spin they continue for a few revolutions. Why two on the W212, first had chirp sound when cornering and the impeller broke on second.
