My CarPlay sound via AUX was quieter. I was playing some daft punk and when I disconnected that connecter it 100 percent went to the normal volume that all the other sources have. Same audio quality too.

The connector I’m talking about is a 3.5mm female to 3.5mm female connector that joins two audio cables from your big harness together. It is not included in the kit… you’ve got to supply it yourself.
Hi I bought this for my 2011 E350 RWD. I installed it easily enough following the Youtube video Kremersino had sent. My issue is that i cannot seem to get "TRUE WIRELESS". You see my Iphone Xr is connected to the factory Aux via an AUX USB I had purchase in the past. from Amazon. Do i need to connect the Aux to the Carplay Box or something? the box did came with a "wired" option but even if i were to use that I don't get any sound.
For context, I did read the forum and did the AUX ON from engineering mode as shown below.
I have also ordered the box and finally got delivered. Have everything installed without problems it worked. I drove about 1 hour then I wanted to buy something have parked vehicle about 15min later I came to the vehicle have started vehicle and suddenly the display no longer folds out radio works without problems. I drove home and at home I looked for the error simply pulled the power cable from CarPlay box and reconnected and it works again the display folds out and after couple of hours again the same problem had anyone ever this error in the attachment I attach a picture for firmware version. Would appreciate your help

Okay.....need some help.
Completed my Joyeauto install today.
Before buttoning everything back up, tested Carplay.
Hooked up to my phone. Was able to see/move around apps.....but, no sound.
None.
Not one.
Tried to search this thread.
Finally, gave up....disconnected all Joyeauto. Put all old Comand back.
Guess what????
No audio.
I need some help.
A fuse maybe?

Okay - I have sound with Comand back.
It was a setting in Engineering mode - and it was set to the wrong Amplifier. Changed it - and sound has returned.
So....tried my Joyeauto again. Hooked it up. NO SOUND.

I am in the process of purchasing a 2011 w212 and looking at installing androidauto retrofit...
I am seeing some people seemngly have success with these installs and others seem to struggle. Not sure if its just not reliable or if the software company they are buying modules from are to blame?
Hi all, I have purchased the Limcet NTG 4.0 box. I have followed the well-known instructions from kSmart, and now the issue is people can hear me when I call them through CarPlay, but as soon as they speak, I can't hear them. Besides this, I also can't control my radio volume with the steering wheel anymore. Does anyone has an answer on this? This was the instruction I received from the seller. Any help would be seriously appreciated.
@CyndiV I am emailing daily with Michael@kremersino.com......however, I still don't have Audio thru Carplay.
I DO have audio thru my radio.....but nothing thru Carplay.
Carplay works - I can move thru Apps, follow my car on Waze, etc.....so something works.
Seen loads of you have audio issues with your carplay boxes. Try these fixes.
1. Instead of external amp, try internal amp. Not all of you are running Logic 7 units so it won’t have another amplifier.
2. Activate Audio and Video AUX, once you’ve done this reset your headunit. Then select aux on the media type.
3. Make sure you moved your fibre optic wires to the new harness - feel like alot of you might have forgot to do this step - so unclip it and move it to the new harness, in the same position.
Mic issues
Most of the later models have OEM mics so just make sure you plug it in. If you have the aftermarket/external one, make sure it’s plugged in and at a decent location.
Scrolling issues
Check on your normal COMAND if it works - if it doesn’t you’ll need to replace a part inside that’s snapped. Common issue on these cars
Display issues
Mess about with the dipstick switches till you get a picture output.
Doesn’t fit in
Put the module behind your glovebox and tug on the wires. You might need to put a bit of pressure to reinsert the headunit but the screws should help clamp it into place.
Reverse camera doesn’t work
You might need to splice in a rectifier to help produce enough constant power to it
@CyndiV Sorry for the delay in replaying. I never got it to work. Chinese vendor said if I packed it back up, paid for postage back to China,,,,and it was all there - he would refund my money.

I am hoping you can help me. I have Mercedes w221 and also have the limcet box with the similar issue you are had. I am wondering if you ever figured out what the issue was. In order for the display to work again I have either unplug the box or do a factory reset on the interface screen and then the display works again. As soon I shut the car off and turn it back on apple carplay doesn’t work. Any help would be greatly appreciated

I was struggling with the no sound issue like most of you but then I disconnected the usb / aux cable from the kremersino box and that solved my issue!
Yep, I'll work on that SAT problem tomorrow. I don't think it's related to the installation, because it was working after I installed it. And I didn't disassemble anything once installed. Possibly some changes in the engineering menu? Sometimes when it works, don't fix it! On a similar topic, in some cases, upgrading the firmware has a negative result as well. Tread carefully!
Regarding the Krem unit, all I got was a little flash card in the box, wtf?!? This was my 4th installation (all different brands), so each one's had it's share of quirks, but they're all basically the same plug-n-play boxes. That PDF would've saved me a lot of grief though, lol.
Hardware/software wise, yes they're all different. The problem I keep hearing/reading over & over is the customer service, and this goes for ALL brands. Whether it's a language barrier, time zone difference (+15 hours), customer service is not a priority. But I knew this going in.
I'm not trying to discourage anyone, just know what to expect before tackling this project. But for the novice/experienced person out there, this page should help get them through the troubleshooting part at least, without contacting the manufacturer. I'm surprised Michael is still doing customer service lol. In any case, I'll try my best to assist others who are interested installing this AA/CP box. One of the best upgrades I've done for my daily. Off my soapbox now.

I too installed that Kremersino kit in my SLS. Both settings seem to work, however my controller won't respond at all. No reaction in neither of the screens.
Anyone has an idea?

I have a similar problem with my NTG 4.0 in my 2012 SLS:
Turn both ways in the NTG 4.0 works flawlessly
Shift up/down/left/right in the NTG 4.0 works flawlessly
Turn left/ right work in the box and the CarPlay menu between 3 - 5 position - then stops
Shift (left/right/up/down) in the box and the CarPlay menu works between 3 - 5 Positions, then changes direction
Also, the movements in the „box“ or „CarPlay“ are obviously taking place in the (invisible) NTG 4.0 in the background, as well
I have contacted Kremersino directly and they tried with a couple of updates but to no avail and then stopped responding to further enquiries. Other then this crucial flaw the box works really fine. I specifically like the fact that it uses the OEM sound. I did have a „DMP Car Design“ box, which used a separate mike for phone and Siri and always mixed up connections when answering teh phone, wich is why I switched - however, it had a perfectly working Turn-Knob connection. Anyone any ideas?
Anyone else had this happen to them? My kremersino unit displays the image to the screen, but the original command unit is not displaying image? You know how you can switch between Kremersino to NTG, by pressing and holding the "phone down" button? When i switch back to the NTG4 or whatever the right name is for it, the screen is sort of blinking. From black, to backlit black. Any idea what's the problem? Thanks.
