Please make sure to record your friend and his E350 at the track and post it up for us.

Update:
E350 survived 2 days at NJMP. Ambient temps were in 60s. We had new EBC yellows for front brakes and fresh ATE200 fluid.
After first session there was some brake smell and car developed some shudder under braking, but all that was gone during second session - I think the pads were still being bedded in. There was one real braking zone where we were going from 110 to about 50ish.
Cooler temps and shorter 20min sessions kept brakes from melting away. The car was on all-seasons which put less strain on brakes as well. But the tires were melting but had pretty even wear, and we didn't even bother swapping them around. He might just need to replace front tires or move them back.

Car itself was not THAT bad. It has lots of under-steer, but very predictable. I think it's possible to toss the rear a bit.
What surprised me the most is that traction/stability control was not really intervening at all. The car was pushing, but friend was on the gas and the car let us do our thing. We were not drifting it or anything, but still I didn't feel any interference.
Transmission was pretty good too. It kept car mostly in the right gear with only couple hard downshifts.

Funny thing was when my friend was hard on the brakes behind another car, our seat belts for tighten up and my (passanger) seat would start moving back. It was pretty funny.

So here you go, you can take E class (and you should) as your first time ever on track and see what you and it can do.

It's nice to see you had fun and enjoyable moments as well. E Class as you know is not meant to be a track day car nor it's made for that purpose but it's still good to know the car is capable of doing something when it hit the track

I remember doing track days in my M3... it was a helluva lot of fun. The first one, super humbling... you think you can drive and your going pretty quick around the track. Then the instructor drives your car to show you the lines and the car's potential. Your like wow, then you take a spin in the instructor group in his car... WOW.

Track days are fun regardless if you have an M3, corvette, 911, miata, civic... sure after a few, you might start considering a car thats more capable. Generally, its the driver lacking capability.
