Engine Fan Running at Max - 2012 Mercedes E350 BlueTec
Has anyone seen this before?
2012 Mercedes E350 BlueTec Engine Fan engages and stays on High (Max speed) 10 seconds after engine starts and stays on 1 minute after engine is shut off.
Stored DTC codes are 10c100 and 10C200. See attached screen shots of DTC codes and operating temperatures.
Most recent repair:
About a month ago the oil filter housing was replace to stop the oil leak. Engine fan, serpentine belt, and tensioner was removed during this repair. The car was running for a bout a month without issues.
Troubelshoting steps performed so far:
I took the fan out again to check the wiring and connectors they all look fine no cracks or missing or corroded connectors at the fan, AC pressure senor or air temperature sensor.
AC works without issue
Coolant is level is ok
No limp mode... driving fine but sound like a jet engine with fan blastin at max speed
Engine cold or hot... fan always running on Max speed
I checkde the fuse #22 and #23 they are fine (but I am guessing this is not related to fues or relay since fan is running...)
I was checking this to determine what's involved in controling the engine fan speed: http://benzbits.com/w203/suctionfancontrol.pdf
Any help or suggestions much appreciated.
Thank you
