Here is an interesting video of a comparison between a 2021 E63S and a 2011 E350 Sport. I know it is not an apples to apples comparison, but I hope you enjoy seeing two E-Classes 10 years apart nevertheless.

I'll take the 2011. The powertrain of the 21 sure is nice, but I cannot with the W213 interior. It is over-wrought and those dual screens look so stupid in my eyes.

Um, those slots in the sunroof shade are not there to let light in, and the lack of them in the 2021 is NOT an improvement.
In the Fall and Spring, I like to turn off the A/C, then tilt-up the sunroof at the rear, and open the RR window about 2 inches or so. It acts like a NACA duct, bringing fresh air into the cabin, that swirls forward and up, then out through the sunroof shade slots -- which actually are air circulation vents -- and out the rear of the sunroof.
I think it silly that engineers on the 2021 spent time to re-engineer the sunshade to delete the vents.
AND... I think it silly that the 2021 front side marker lights are in the fender wells. A step back, compared with the side markers that are integrated in the headlight bezels in the facelift W212s.

I had a loaner 20' E350 and they now have a 4-cylinter turbo that I was not fond of.
I recall reading an article that Mercedes is in cost cutting mode so I personally wouldn't invest in any of the new ones coming out.

I was thinking it might be time to get a new E myself, until I drove one, I don't much care for the dash,I didn't notice the missing sunshade louvers, but I agree they are important, mostly I didn't like the four banger with turbo, too loud, too obnoxious, too slow. Not thrilled with the styling on the exterior either. My wife said the seats are "worse than an Audi"
So that leaves the E400 and the AMG, which is way too much money.
What they are thinking, I don't know... I think I'll keep the 100k in the market and keep driving my '13 for awhile.

I still maintain that the E550 4M TTV8 is one of the best bargains in the MB world if you want to go fast and don’t have an E63 S budget. 430HP stock and can easily be tuned to 550HP +

The E63 I had was 92(bought it new), prices sure have gone up since 2011 eh? When I traded it I got 88K for it too
That was a mere 206 days later, when I realized that I really didn't want two W212's and got the CLS, which I also got new, that of course was a little more than the E

Agreed. The 382 hp and 392ib ft of torque on my 2011 e550 leaves me smiling anytime I’m behind the wheel. Not to mention I don’t have to pay astronomical AMG prices for anything that needs to be repaired

Yes, I agree, it's been nine years, time flies by, I loved the CLS but my wife couldn't get in and out of the backseat and it wasn't much shorter than the '07 S we were trading. Not to mention the E was a little more than half price and my motorcycle fit in the garage in front of it! Much easier to shop in and park as well. I miss the highway ride...

W212 is my favorite Mercedes-Benz ever , I dislike W213 styling and other roundish Mercedes-Benz models too . Mercedes-Benz should bring back W212 styling and fire the designers at all

Well, I agree with that, didn't much care for the four banger turbo either, just sounds wrong, Don't like the dash at all, maybe the 214 will be better, not thrilled with the 221 either, looks like my mother's Genesis. I thought the Koreans were copying the Germans!
