Rear speaker still not working after replacement
Hi
Have a 2014 E350 with the known speaker issue with the subwoofer and rear door speaker to go bad in the cars with harman kardon. I replaced the rear passenger speaker with a used one and it still does not work.
The speaker was unplugged for a long duration of time (6 months at least) by the previous owner, as the coil popped out.
I measure the ohms of both the driver side speaker (Working speaker) and passenger side speaker. And the driver side is measuring 1.7-1.8 ohms, and the driver side measuring 1.4-1.5 ohms. i checked the connector and it seems to be higher by a tad bit 1.3V vs 0.98 with the car off. any thoughts?
someone has suggested that given the duration the speaker was unplugged, it could be the car cutting voltage to that one speaker.
Thoughts? All the other speakers work.
