There is some oil leak behind the main engine and i can smell the burnt oil fumes inside the car on occasions. On the left hand side behind the engine i see some oil deposit on the oil separator, which i plan to change, but on the right side behind the engine i see a cracked part with oil deposit. I am not able to identify this part so can someone help me with that. Attaching pics.

No idea where that part is but normally you'd replace the breather cover and the oil separator. The separator is reverse threaded so loosening/tightening is the opposite. There's a whole breather kit out there and the plugs get replaced too but your plug on that side doesn't look like it's leaking. There's also two plugs on the right side and it could be one of the engine plugs that are leaking. FCPeuro sells a kit with all those parts, but they're cheaper elsewhere if you get them directly from an MB dealer that sells online but you do get their lifetime warranty. Might be a long while before they go again though and you might not be able to cash in on the warranty.
Hello, my 2011 MB E350 4matic has oil all over the front of the engine likely from the fan and serpentine belt flinging it everywhere which also caused my serpentine belt to come off. Any suggestions on where to look and how on earth do I clean all this up?
