AMBIENT LIGHT STRIP AND GLOVE BOX LIGHT FAILURE
I’m wondering if anyone has had same issue with their 2012 E350
The ambient lights under the wood trim in the front have stopped working but side doors are still functional. Any ideas ??
I had also done a jump start to a vehicle and I noticed the led strip in the front flickering while doing the jump. After about a few days the light stopped working along with glove box light I’ve checked some fuses but they seem to be fine .

Pull trim to inspect harness and illumination strips, see attachment.

I removed all the wood trim up front and looked at all the connections. Everything seemed fine nothing was unplugged or loose...
Still not sure if it’s electrical or something like removing and soldering new lights ??

Jump start may have affected diodes (light), try replacing. MB does not offer separately you will need to match aftermarket or find sacrificial part.

The only thing I would add, is checking for voltage (DC) on those wires coming into the board... the only thing I don't know is what to expect, 12V, probably less and depending on the ambient light setting. If you have ZERO volts, then your problem is likely elsewhere.
