Trade Wheels?
Recently bought a 2011 E350 for my daughter’s 16th birthday present.
I love everything about the car but I’m not 100% thrilled with the wheels. Anyone interested in trading me the second set of wheels for the first set pictured?

If your wheels are 18" Made in Czech Republic, they are prone to cracks and this is the best use I found for them.

Assuming that the first set are what is on the car it is a little surprising that they are on an '11 as I didn't think that they came out until '13 as they were on my sister's '13 sport.

Those wheels were on 2008 W204s.. and I had them on my 2011 W204.. they disappeared finally in sometime in the 2014 run, as some facelift cars have them but most had transitioned to the type posted above as the hose hanger. But I have never seen them on a 2010-2012 W212 either.

my 2011 e550 has then. Great rims, I love that. I’ve been debating having them powder coated gloss black.

Actually I believe those two wheels are slightly different and made by different manufacturers, the first picture is of the Ronal's made in Poland and I agree they are not stock to a '11. the beautiful hose reel is correct to the '10-'11 and is made in the Czech republic.
If you look closely the spokes in the first picture stop before the rim and have a lower angle at the tire edge not to mention a lip-stepdown around the rim, the hose reel the spokes go all the way to the edge of the rim and have a steep angle at the tire edge with no lip-stepdown.
My '13 has the Polish Ronal wheels.

I'm confused; is this your daughters car? Or are you driving it? What does SHE say about the wheels??

So now is my turn to show off my 25 years old monoblocks.
They look the best on black cars (I have them for about 10 years and 5 cars) but can't complain about looks on white one.

The hose reel one looks like it matches the ones from my current E350?
Of these two, I actually prefer the look of the earlier ones. I have never seen the wheels from my 2016 on an E-class before 2014.
But just for the record, the best wheels of all were from the 2007 W203 sport that I had put on my 2005 C230:

Obviously we need more forensic evaluation, my '13 sport has the same wheels as your C300. WOW! Were the AMG wheels on your build sheet?

Well now that's a dilemma, completely backwards as I remember it. With this new evidence, especially if those were stock on a '16, Benz must have been using wheels form both manufacturers! WTH?

The ones on my 2011 were exactly the same as the ones on my dad’s 2009 C300. Back when I had my 2005 in 2008, while it was still under warranty, I had several brand new 2008 C loaners with those very rims.

I bet if you look up the part number, the set of wheels on the OPs car is worth more than the ones he actually likes. I actually like the ones that are on there now. I think the ones on there now might be part of a sports package and cost more and the one he likes is more of a set you'd find on the base models.

Well maybe, I like them both, Apparently MB was using two suppliers, maybe the Czech company made the first set then had trouble with the bending and cracking so MB moved to the Polish company and when the Czech company fixed the issue and {likely} reduced the price MB started using them again?
So for now it looks like they used the Czech company in '10,'11 and '15,'16 and the Polish company in '12,'13,'14 just guessing here.
