I always just run the vin through a vin decoder to see what it has.

So no headliner to remove to tighten pano, no bumper to remove to replace waterlogged sensors and no 2k each headlights to replace if broken? Just sayin' always two sides!
No annoying lane tracking to turn off.....and I seem to have been able to park my car for the last 45 years without assistance. Going forward maybe not so much.
Thanks. You are correct. However, once you have a car with additional conveniences that you use regularly, you don't want to step backwards in the next car. I still have 2 cars that don't have satellite uplink and cannot be tracked and do not have any of the modern bells and whistles. Just power steering, brakes, windows, and A/C. I like to drive them once in a while, not for every day use. The lane change warning is a particularly effective tool for us these days and has kept us from driving into a car in the blind spot on many occasions. Power sunshade in the rear is another feature that seemed silly at first but has been nice to have. Heated & cooled seats, what did we ever do without them? The LED headlights, old eyes can see a whole different world at night.

You don't have to drop the whole headliner to tighten the bolts for the pano. Took a little over an hour to get it done. Parktronic on both cars still work fine, sensor failure doesn't seem to be that common. Headlights are also fine, have bixenons on both. Plus the old ones came with headlamp washers. I've always gone into it saying that if they break, I'll fix them. But it's not too common for them to go and I'd rather have them than not have them. The power trunk closer is fun too, worth it just for the look on people's faces when you hit the button. Parktronic is really handy once you have it. Yeah, I was always able to park my car wtihout, being in the city some of my friends from the suburbs used to just like watching me park the car because I can do it in just 3 moves. However they do let you get a lot closer than you think and you never end up tapping someone else's bumper. That's the braille method.

Yes I should have added that while I hate the lane keep assist the blind spot monitoring and brighter headlights are value added. I used my powershade everday at work to keep the sun off but that comes with the P1 package.
Just trying to help a fellow Cincinnatian find a reasonably priced and nearby car.
I assumed that you could figure the alignment of the equipment with your needs on your own.

It was more tone. I'm trying to help a fellow Cincinnatian find a reasonably nearby car and some people feel compelled to pee in the punchbowl.

OP seemed to say they weren't in a big rush so I pointed out a car that had a decent set of options which are harder to find. Plenty of base model cars are out there, doesn't take too long to find them. It's a tough time to find something decent during the pandemic though.

It isn't. But there's lots of threads on here from people trying to retrofit options and it basically boils down to being cheaper buying a car with those options than trying to put them in later. OP also had a car with the lighting package and as others said, once you have something, it's hard to go backward so I was suggesting cars that had more, not less options.

I might wait a couple weeks to take an offer, 20k seems like a good compromise, that car had lots of options, including a heated steering wheel, hard to come by...As you said, your not in a hurry, my experience FWIW, the longer you wait the higher the settlement.
The SS is a somewhat rare 2002. Only 41 convertibles made in Sunset Orange as I recall. The Corvette is one of the most fun factory hotrods to drive ever. The only real problem I've had with the Z06 is with the Electronic Brake Control Module. Diagnosed and replaced it with a new one (which is no longer available) and no other issues. Of course, water leaks are a fact of life in every Corvette. Not a major issue with the fixed roof models, but an issue. Neither of them have original configurations in the power plants. The SS puts right at 485 HP to the ground and the Z06 puts right at 425 HP to the ground. I took the Camaro to the track one time, ran a 11.8 1/4 at 121 MPH on street tires and they wouldn't let me on the track again because it was too fast for a convertible without a roll cage. Took the Z06 to Mid Ohio one time for a private track day and had a blast but I left all of the traction controls active. Save my rear end quite a few times.

Yes, mid-Ohio is right between us, I also used to go there and Nelson's Ledges which is closer to me. Ran motorcycles and a Volkswagen Scirroco. good times when I was younger, immortal and had no children!
I raced at Mid-Ohio many times with SCCA in the ‘90’s and early ‘00 in a C Sports racer. It is a great track. I miss those days, but take the GT350 out for track days at Road America and nearby Autobahn race course.
