BG Oil Kit
Dealer has started adding a "BG Oil Kit" to the oil and filter change. What is this and what does it do? Thanks.

I have an opinion; Worthless. Others swear by them though...
One of my engineer friends leads the R&D team at the largest additive and synthetic oil companies in the world here in Cleveland,Lubrizol, he says there worthless too!

Upselling you my man. I worked with BG at my last dealer. The fuel additive for direct injection works well, but so does GMs variant. It Is all snake oil. The only benefit to BG is is you use their fluids at their recommended intervals they warranty what ever part associated up to 2500 if I remember. Use their power steering fluid...pump fails, they buy you a new pump and cover the labor. BUT like all warranty, it will need to be inspected and signed off on.
