my 2016 was made in March 2016. I think you're off a year with the start of 2017 builds.

Yes, correct, I read the 2015 as 2016. they built the last 2016's in July-August of 2016.

Odd, every 2015 I looked at did not have the power folding but did have the rest of the stuff in the premium package. I guess it happened mid-model year or something. Granted, I only looked at a few 2015s.

You can turn the power mirrors off via a deeply buried menu setting.

Oh, like double secret probation? who would turn off a folding mirror option and for what reason?

well, if they never fold, they are less likely to wear out and break the folding mechanism ? I dunno, but I think thats some folks logic.

That would be crazy to not use them because of wear.. these things are not fragile like engine mounts.

I just had to replace the tow mirrors on my 2002 F250 because the mirror adjustment mechanisms wore out and started stripping teeth, so yeah, use mechanical stuff and it wears out and breaks.
