Can't find a decent e550 in my area

Side note, Carmax just started offering 24 hour test drives and a 30 day return policy (up to 1,500 miles). That's easily the best in the industry. Vroom and Carvana offer 7 day return policies. Tesla used to offer 7 days for returns but they quietly stopped that.

quantity 1: 212-240-62-17-64 Engine Mount $252
quantity 4:910105-008014 Screw $10.80

Trans mount was supposed to be covered, but dealer forgot to submit it and was tired of dealing with warranty co., so they covered replacing it and I have no cost info:
quantity 1: 204-240-06-18 Transmission Bearing
quantity 5: 000000-003175-64 Nut
quantity 2: 000-990-75-03 Screw

quantity 3: 000000-003281 Nut
quantity 4: 124-421-04-71 Bolt And Washer Assembly
That's what I have - to me some of the numbers look off, but that is directly from my invoice.
Good Luck!

Looks like the transmission mount was about $140 and it's a quick 20 minute job, probably less it was already up on the lift.

*edit*
For the M278 it lists is as 9.6 hours for both motor mounts... yeah, just need to lift engine and drop the front subframe.

I spent 9 months looking for my car. I previously had a C300, but wanted a little more room and power

We live in WI and I found the E550 at a dealer in MA. It was priced very well. My wife and I flew to Boston and drove it home. It was a great trip. So, don't discount opening up your search radius.

This car is a tank. I bought it with 14700 miles on the clock 8 years ago. It has over 180 000 miles now. Changed starter and all air springs and struts. That's about it for the maintenance/repair other than oil changes.
For the book price that is probably below $9000. I will never get rid of this car as it is way more valuable than the mileage puts it to. My miles are 85% highway so the engine has only about 55 000 miles on it compared to a city car.
I believe it runs another 100 000 miles without issues if I was driving it like I did in the past. I'm driving a 2013 S550 now as my daily driver. E gets few miles every 3-4 weeks when I crank it up and drive a little to keep battery charged. I don't use any trickle chargers for it. Starts up with no issues at all after sitting for 4 weeks straight.
Rear air shocks replaced 2 years ago. Just got this bill today. $6,300 in repairs and maintenance. Unfortunately I do need all of this, I’m not being taken for a ride by the shop. Very reliable car. 145k and every time I drive I drive fast. No powertrain issues at all. Still searching for someone to fix my inner air bladder in my dynamic seat. Everyone keeps telling me to go buy a $5k seat😂😂 nope, they are easily repairable but extremely tough to get out of the seat and even worse is getting it back in.

The price you were charged for a change in your cabin air filter was absolute highway robbery for a 2 minute job

now I have no idea how hard it is to change the engine air filter on these cars, I've not yet touched anything under the hood on mine, only had hte 212 since 2020-12-24
on my 124's, its pretty trivial. ditto on my volvos and pretty much all previous cars, also my f250 diesel.

Speaking of work, I just started getting a CEL thrown by codes P0346 and P0347. I read that this could be a cam sensor wiring harness issue... but I'm having trouble finding the wiring harness. Anyone able to provide a part number? Should I replace the sensor along with the harness?

The indy I got the quote from specializes in Mercedes cars. It was $1,850 +tax, so $2,000 to replace the two engine mounts and the trans mount. Seems about right based on what you guys paid. I think I'll just hold off on that for now or maybe just do the trans mount. I don't feel the vibration is excessive. I know I have to get the spark plugs changed again during my next service. It's a pain for them because it's a V-8 and last time they changed them I remember they had a very hard time removing at least one of the plugs.
