Not sure if that was in reference to me or the post above you, but, I got my 'faster' done before I got my 'louder' done 😉

The sky is also blue and there’s 7 days in a week. I don’t think anyone was saying louder = faster

You have a completely different engine. And also I'm sure most would recommend X pipe just because it's more common. The guy at my shop thought I told him x pipe...had to tell him 3 times... H PIPE. You just don't hear it that often with our kinda cars. But, for the sound wanted and the Twin Turbos, H pipe was best for me. I actually hear straight pipe with maybe x pipe is better with NA

C63 amg (v8tt) performance package's got an H pipe from factory ... sounds a lot better than the x-pipe to me!

a friend of mine drives a 14’ e550 which has rhe same engine as yours. He also had an x-pipe welded in and straight piped where the secondary cats were. Sounds very nice and no drone

Where are these legendary secondary cats at? My car only came from the factory with one per bank. I have been robbed!! Class action suit.

Edit: this is mine straight piped no h or x. Still has the stock cats (one per bank). Cold start: https://www.tiktok.com/@megaman2020x...from_webapp=v2

backpressure matters not on a turbocharged vehicle...as far as performance is concerned.

If you have downstream O2 sensors (i.e. after the CAT's) as well as upstream CAT's then you will definitely throw codes.

pretty much all cars since hte mid 2000s have downstream O2 sensors. one before the cat to monitor the raw exhaust gases for optimal free oxygen content, and one after the cat to monitor that the cat is working properly.
