red battery light ???
Hello. I also have a problem with my car, E300 hybrid (w212-2).
the red battery light came on, plus the message see owners manual.
the car being a hybrid, I don't know if I have to go to the dealership to solve the situation or to call a service with battery books at home with assembly.
for hybrids is there any special procedure with "high voltage" ??
I do not know what to do

May simply be weak main or starter battery, although not your exact malfunction attached bulletin notes: “For diagnostic work the 12V on-board electrical system must be charged or boosted using an appropriate charger!” I suggest having dealer check it.

the car works, it starts well, it works ok, only that in a few seconds that indicator light appears.
I definitely have to do this, to **** at Mercedes but I'm full, in 7 days I can barely receive myself. it is what it is

Your battery at 11.5v is dead. Should be 12.6+

Thanks a lot for the reply, I sincerely appreciate.
now the question is. it is enough to take a VARTA aftermarket battery, similar in technical data to the OEM one, which is also based on varta.
I wonder if this type of car, hybrid, involves some computer reset to read the new battery as "new". Besides the financial costs, the problem is that at Mercedes the schedule would be somewhere in 10 days. and I can't really stay without a car.
and the version with a battery bought on the internet is instant, it comes home and installs it.
or is it possible only an effective change of "battery" and nothing more ??

Most owners here have installed new batteries without any special coding by the dealer to recognize that the battery has been replaced. I know BMW and other car manufacturers require this and perhaps your Hybrid might also, but I doubt it. You can call the nearest dealer and ask if the battery needs to be coded. Hopefully, you will get a straight answer. You do not need to buy a Varta OEM battery as a replacement. Any AGM battery that meets the original specs (battery size, group, cold crank amperage) should work. There are many battery threads in this forum if you search. Good luck!

Thank you very much. I'll look and read more about it.
but I'm almost convinced of what you wrote me and thank you very much.
come back with the solution )
sorry for the childish questions but that's how we learn.
