Rear Diff replacement

Need help! How difficult is it to replace rear diff on 2010 E350 4Matic? Can't find any videos on youtube, but it looks as if it's not too bad of a job.
It looks like with the removal of the two top links and the bottom link from the carrier, then tilt the carrier down, the axles should have enough clearance to slide out of the diff.
Anyone done this before?

without a proper lift and access to MB WIS your better off towing the car to the nearest lake

Nope.

mine is RWD, but it should be 100% the same scenario for rear diff of a 4 matic.

yeah, pretty sure you don't have enough room to remove them from the diff with the rear suspension in place

I take one side of the rear suspension apart enough to remove that axle. Usually all of the arms off the knuckle except for the spring arm. That’ll give you enough room to get the axle out of the hub then knock it out of the rear diff.
Once one side is out you can loosen the other from the diff and lower the diff and tilt on the way down.

I use a workshop service , DIFF removed because I installed Quaife ABT LSD in lieu of open DIFF

If you want to DIY this job, unless you have proper supporting equipments and extra person to help, I suggest use voice command method instead.

Voice Command : Hello workshop, I need to do XYZ for my car

And when all done with the DIFF.... make sure you do a proper pre-tension at car normal ride height ( tires on ground ), for all the arm's bushings which were loosened during this job.

It is humming rather loudly. Drained fluid and it looks like pearlescent paint...
