What codes have been thrown? You may need something better than a generic OBD2 scanner to retrieve them.

If you are using Keyless Go, pull the button and insert the key. turn to position 2 without stepping on the brake and see if the selector will move into neutral.
If so, turn the key back to 0 and then step on the brake to start the car and see whether it will shift.
