Will a secondary cat and resonator delete causes a CEL? 2011 E550
Hi everyone,
Ill be having my secondary cats removed with a straight pipe and my resonator removed with an xpipe on my 2011 e550. I was told the only part of the exhaust that is monitored is the main cats which will obviously be staying. Is this true? I just want to make sure I won’t be having a CEL to deal with later today. Thanks for any help!

I have seen some people on my motor (m278) misidentifying resonators for cats.
You have a m273, and all the pictures I have seen show only one cat per bank (of cylinders).
O2 sensors are always on the intake, and the exhaust of the cat.

Could you make sure you have secondary cats.

The secondary cats are in fact resonators, as far as I know.
