The 2010-2011 is M272. I already replace the intake on my 2011 E-350. It's the same engine and the same design so it has the same intake manifold problem as all M272 engines.

Gmoney did you buy the car from personal seller? In case something bad in is it difficult to get refund because of lemon law from personal seller instead of car dealer?

pretty sure the so-called Lemon Laws (state by state different) apply only to NEW cards bought from the dealer.

Mercedes Certified Pre-Owned warranty, or an aftermarket used car warranty ? The CPO is worth something, and SOME states might even have lemon law provisions for those, but you've got to jump through a lot of hoops, like 4-5 service visits for the same problem without resolution. aftermarket warranties aren't worth the paper they are printed on.

Car runs like a dream and was a one owner serviced through Mb dealer always. Have Carfax and service records. Hopefully if problem arise I'll deal with it myself or warranty will fix. I've bought used cars in the past and had issues and warranty fixed. Good friend of mine and not mechanically inclined at All bought a BMW 750 and you name it and it broke. He had an aftermarket warranty and with all parts and problems he had it was a total of 26,000 and the aftermarket warranty fixed it all. I always do my homework before I buy a car never just buy spur of the moment. Hopefully we can get a few years of service out of it and push come to serve I'll trade it in on something else. But to make my son's dream come true I would do it again!!

hah i've bought lots of used cars, 10-20 year old Volvos and Mercedes... but those cars were so much simpler mechanically. as a rertired computer systems engineer, I'm still trying to get a handle on the top level view of all the subsystems and busses on these cars. they really are far more complex than they should be, but that has always seemed to be the German way.

Thank for reply guys. The reason I asked because found GLK350 4matic 2015 around 43K miles for around 18600 from private seller and he want cash. So the price is 3k cheaper than average so I think maybe it had problem. I think too risky. But if I bought from private seller I can buy extended warranty. What is the cost of extended warranty?
Also sometime seller try to avoid tax or asking put price in record below the real price. Is that ok? or reject that and asked to put in lien the correct price.
Look like Texas had better law for that because I knew friend of my son bought used Jaguar for $43k and few days transmission or engine broke. First dealer didn't want to refund and he treat to sue and they refund the money. What is the best Extended Warranty for Mercedes? Is it from Mercedes or third party?

Usually its the buyer that wants to record a lower price for states that then collect tax on the sale... in CT when you go to register the car, they go by a book value as people were "gaming" the system with $500 cars.

Kind of the same here in Ohio, if the sale price is below book, they send out two certified letters to the buyer and seller that must be returned signed with the sale price and an explanation of why the price was so low, if not, they assess the tax at book value. If in fact you list wrecked or damaged, they sometimes demand an inspection before issuing plates.

The irony of this is years ago my dad liked Mercedes because of their simplicity relative to something like a Jaguar. But as you are pointing out they have abandoned that philosophy.

I don't think you can get simple anymore. It used to be that Mercedes was luxury not because of features but because of the way they were built and engineered - truly to last forever. Now everything is about electronic gadgets and gimmicks.

Our current toy car - a 2021 Forte GT turbo with a manual - steers itself 90% of the time. Works quite well but completely unnecessary and unexpected on a $21k car.

Well he Graduated Thursday night guys he's all done. He recieved another scholarship from Bradleys Doctor foundation on Awards night I could'nt have been more proud of my son and my decision to get him this car He well deserved it. He's working a summer job then starting College in the fall. Cars been running great!!

Hello guys its been a year today since we bought the car. She still purring like a kitten!!! We had a few small issues nothing major. Replaced driver side rear brake light in deck lid, had a few leds burnt out (eBay used 45.00). Replaced rain/light sensor, bought one from Fcp it didn't work, bought a used one from eBay 35.00 worked like new. Also replaced idle pulleys after hearing a squeak under the hood. Not sure if ever were changed or when was changed we went ahead and bought the pulley belt kit from Fcp Squeak gone all good!! Son still loving her he has named her Mabel!!
