Increased tire width on e350 4matic
Wondering if anyone has any experience with with going slightly wider with a square set up. I own a 2011 e350 4matic and thinking about going 255/40/18 tires instead of the stock 245 width, just to get a slightly more aggressive look since I can’t go with a staggered set up. Main concern is rub in the front due to the wider tires, but not sure if there would be any since the difference in size is so minimal. Any feedback and suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

do those 255/40R18 come in XL or have a comparable load factor to the 245/40R18 XL? hokay, looked them up, they do.
I show they are a whole 0.4" wider, and 0.3" taller diameter. not sure you'd even notice that unless you take out a measuring tape with a 245/40 right next to it.

Thanks for the feedback, definitely helpful. It’s a minimal difference for sure, I know 265 would be to big so I’ll take whatever I can get at this point, especially since the pricing of the wider tires seem to be about the same.
