Braking question OE

Question for those with the drilled MB rotors - when cruising down the highway, how quickly do your brakes start to groan when you apply them normally? Mine start almost immediately and the rotors and pads only have 25k of easy miles on them. Just curious... thanks!

I guess I’ve gotten used to it on both W212s, but it’s something noticeable coming from cars with non-drilled rotors... which don’t exhibit that noise.

I have not noticed any brake groaning, thru 28,000 miles.

Drilled rotors here and absolutely no groan or squeak when braking at any speed. I'm on completely OEM brakes.

I hear it, especially when braking from higher speeds, like highway off-ramp. The wagon has OE rotors/pads and the 550 has Textar rotors/pads. Both do it, I’ll see if I can get a video.

The 550 brakes were replaced by selling dealer, essentially new and the wagon has a number of miles on them, including the backside of rotor holes being all plugged when I bought it. I’ve since cleaned the plugged holes, but that didn’t make any difference.

Ok thanks guys! Mine groan badly and think something might be wrong there on the front..

car is heading to dealership tomorrow for the droning noise. Stumped my indi and didn’t feel comfortable tossing parts at it without second opinion.
