Intercooler Issue
I bought an intercooler (CSF 6057) for a replacement on a 2014 Mercedes Benz E250 bluetec vehicle.
The intercooler has bulged / warped. Pictures attached.
The issue with this intercooler (not radiator) is that some large bulging at the bottom and top of the intercooler has developed and the housing is beginning to develop cracks. The vehicle in question is all OEM and standard equipment with no modifications, aftermarket or any MIL or fault codes excluding (MAF due to intercooler damage) or any performance or driving issues besides the issue in question.
Could you please provide me with some information / assistance in the following?
- what could be the cause (other than a possible manufacturing defect) for the bulging of the intercooler? The Vehicle runs normal, no modifications, no faults, or errors in MB Star and operating pressures inside the intercooler system are nowhere near the level required to deform metal like this.
A man in need of your help!

Is this a common E250 issue?
