E350 W212 Engine/Transmission Differences US vs EU Version
Hi all,
newbie to the forum and new to MB, acquired a 2014 M276 4matic
Anyone know the mechanical difference between the EU engine/transmission and the US engine?
Is it a simple software tweak to convert to the other?
Tried searching all places and even called Stuttgart, without an answer. Thank you very much

Purpose?
The M276 is different from an emissions standard, US vs. ECE. In the US it non-MAF based, whereas the European variant uses a MAF along with EGR to run leaner (more efficiency) at the expense of higher NOx and different CAT.
Not simple tweak as it involves hardware as well... not sure what the purpose is again. For your reading pleasure, attached.
