My car is a 2016 E350 (sport version). I found a small plastic plate in the center storage area between the front seats. Then I noticed a similarly shaped opening in the back of the storage area. The plate fits in this opening. There is a round hole beneath the plate when fitted. I cannot find this mentioned in the owner's manual. Does anyone know what this might be?

Wouldn't be an access port for disengaging the transmission park interlock without the ignition turned on, would it?
