Hi folks, proud owner of a 2010 E550 Sedan. I love this car! It has blacked out taillights and wheels that I am told was factory (not sure why) and has had all the recco'd maintenance since it was new, with 2 owners. 103k miles. The issue is when I am in a moderate speed turn on a curving entrance ramp the car will suddenly lurch and catch itself like one of the wheels caught. It's very strange. No error codes. 'S' mode. Is 'S' mode meant to be jerky and overreactive like that?

Does this happen with cruise control ON?
Your car has accelerometers that measure the centrifugal forces when driving thru curves and the car will slow down if measurement tells the car could fish-tail. Also you could have slip on rear wheels that you don’t even feel yet but the car does and takes power off of the wheel to keep the car on the road.
If it does the same thing when not on cruise control with ESP off then there could be a problem. Try driving the same curve with the same speed with the said systems off and see how it does but be careful not to fish-tail as the systems would not be helping you.
