Hi. I just got an oil filter from MB dealer (See pics). Is it a faulty one? I have searched on the internet but cannot confirm if it is ok or not.
Kindly advise. Million thanks.

OEM is probably Mann , not the best sometimes as on the left .
I've switched to Bosch and Hengst as the filter build quality is much better .

Yes, its MANN. Anyone encountered this kind of quality problem?

I’m sure it’s just fine. It’s not an art project.

Use the filter. The filter pleat wrap-around has to be joined somewhere.
A hole in the pleating I would complain about... this not at all.

x3. "The pleats have to be joined somewhere" is exactly what I was going to post but DFWdude beat me to it.
