Dynamic LED Amber Delete

I was finally able to get my hands on a low mileage ‘14 E550 4M and of course already planning subtle mods. I’ve searched the forum (and maybe overlooked it), but didn’t see anything on this.

Has anyone done an amber delete for the front headlights?

Do not want to kill the mod mood, but why?

I order to do what you want you will have to separate the lens cover from the housing. The days when you put in the oven @ 200F for ~20-30 minutes and it comes apart I think are gone. I think nowadays a different adhesive is used that can not be "soften" that easily.
Plus, even if you succeed in removing it, I do not think you will be able to seal it back the same was as from factory. That will lead to extra moisture getting in. Mix of water/moisture and electronics does not work well in long run.

That is exactly what I was thinking as far as options and it’s not something I want to do for those exact reasons of resealing.

As for mods, it’s all about tasteful things to me. I love to stay true to OEM of the car and do minor things like tint, interior lighting changes, and maybe wheel change. Other than that, I stay away from trying to make the car something that it is not. But with the headlight, I feel like having them completely clear will make it appear even cleaner than it does now.

2014 E550-sold 😩
If you mess up that mod, be prepared to spend over $2K to replace each headlamp.

Haha…exactly why I came here 1st KEY! Was hoping another member had went through with this mod or was aware of overlays that weren’t obstructive. I consider myself handy, but I am definitely not going to attempt this mod myself without someone having attempted prior.

I’d rather leave them as they are than F them up!!
