‘16 Chrome Window Trim
My newly acquired 2016 wagon has oxidized chrome trim around the windows on the passenger side. The car was from Texas and I would assume that it parked a specific way every day because the driver’s side is still shiny. I am also assuming that that is not really chrome and it is plastic so any sort of chrome chemical solution would just destroy it.
So my question is, does anyone know if it is plastic or actually metal? If it is plastic is there anything to bring it back to life or am I limited to having someone install new trim if it is really bothering me?

It's anodized aluminum... mild acid can remove water spots if that's the "oxidation" your describing. There's some threads related on the topic. More than likely the solution is replacement.

The black gutters and trim that runs along side of windshield? I suspect its aluminum as well, but the finish is not anodized.. it can be polished like the piano trim on the side glass between doors. That finish is some form or "paint" be it 2k or power-coating.
