Dashcam Installation - hidden, aux battery connection, hatch wire routing
I am planning on installing a front/back dashcamera.
- does anyone know a reputable place to purchase a front “hidden” dashcam that integrates with the existing trim behind the mirror? I would like to incorporate an input for a rear dash cam. My only alternatives are currently on aliexpress..
- i am planning to connect to the auxiliary battery with a dashcam which has a voltage meter cut off. Right now i can route the + to the rear aux battery (I have a wagon so it’s by the spare), but does anyone know where that battery connects or runs by under the dash - in that case I don’t need to route to the back? Also, do the two batteries share charge with each other - in that case i may as well to to the right passenger fuse panel.
- looking for any write up on how to wire the camera into the hatch trim - so any guides on removing the rear hatch trim.
