Facelift S212 (Wagon) 4Matic tire question - Square 255/35 19's?
My 2014 S212 e350 has square 17's on it and I'd like to switch to 19's. Is it possible to run 255/35/19's all around? If so, what wheel width and offset(s) should I be looking for - will the wheels be square too or do I need staggered offsets with the same width?
Thanks.
Thanks.

19s w the required /35 profile tires will have a much harsher and noisier ride than the stock 17s w /45 tires. Only place I would run /35 tires would be on a race track with glassy smooth pavement.

I have stock 18" wheels / tires and they are a good compromise, 25k miles over the past year and no issues. However, a buddy has a '19 AMG with 19" wheels and has gone through 7 wheels/tires since new. He is glad he bought the warranty.
I would not go any larger than 18, if you care about the ride & maintenance.

btw, I just curb chunked a front Conti and took a little chunk out of a sidewall which made a slow leak... due to tread wear, tire shop suggested I replace all 4 (its a 4matic), so I got the Michelin Pilot All Season 4's I wanted all along, and WOW they are so much smoother/quieter/nicer riding than the busy/noisy Continental ProContacts that came on the car. The Contis were about 15 months old, had about 10K miles, and the rears were worn a bit over 3/32nds (6.5/32nds when a new Conti or Michelin is 10/32... while the legal tire wear limit is 1/32nds, I usually like to replace my tires when they still have 2-3X that, especially in rainy season, so if I use my 3/32 minimum, there's 7/32 wearable tread on a new tire, and my rears were already down to 3.5/32nd or 50% worn.
