Service codes
Service codes
Hi,
I'm sure this has been asked plenty of times but I cannot find the answer. My e class is saying a b3 service is due. I have it booked in. Is there a list of these codes and what needs doing at each interval. So is there an explanation of each service code?
Thanks
G

Some say it means the 3rd B service. Others say it codes the specific items that need attention. I’ve had as high as a 9 (A9), but I don’t believe any of it. So many services are taken out of sequence like plugs, transmission, brake fluid, coolant, etc. which may happen based on years vs mileage I don’t think any of these A-B codes mean squat. You need to follow the maintenance schedule for your specific vehicle and keep your work orders so you know what has been completed. I guarantee if you ask the SA what those numbers mean they will give you a vague answer and then try to sell you something you probably don’t need.
