Speaker upgrade (yes, another one)

Hello all.
I am looking to get as much enjoyment from the sound as I get from driving my 2016 E350 4M WAGON and I am looking to do and spend the bare minimum. I found this
and I like it and of course I have questions. The speakers in the video are Focal PS165 F kit for the front doors that includes the door mounted twitters, and the Focal ICU 165 for the rear doors.
Questions:
1. at their site, Focal lists the kit as compatible with the W213. Can anyone here confirm, even from experience, that they will fit in the W212 as well, as direct plug-and-play replacements?
2. Adapter rings recommendation? in one of the videos on youtube (1:14 in
) someone moded (= cut up) the old speakers and used the outer part of the frame as the adapter ring. He also left the leads on the old speaker frame, soldering them to the new speaker and maintaining the clip on connector, which I thought was really cool. Since I dont believe I have functional issues with the current speakers I would rather not destroy them, so any info on adapter rings for the speakers will also be great.
3. replacing these 6 components, would technically still leave another 8 original speakers unchanged. any expectations based on experience or do they not have any impact on mids, mid lows and lows - not the sub obviously.
I am hoping to leverage this crowdsourcing to avoid getting garbage just because they are available and cheap. I only have the dead end street I live on to do any work to the car so I cannot leave things open, pull down a garage door and and go back tomorrow.

I know that there is tons of info on the topic in this forum but it is fragmented, old, incomplete, or complete in a way that does not fully apply to the wagon. I am not looking for schematics or diagrams or studio quality sound, just bare minimum for diy.)

and for those that will recommend it, yes, I also do plan on using sound deadening too.

Thank you.

Wow. It looks like the focals are priced right in line with other MB parts.... and I did not expect such difference, I thought maybe $50ish more would worth it. But I see there are alternatives at much lower prices. I intend to keep and enjoy the car and I'm wondering if anyone has a strong recommendation that is not so high$
what can I say, I'm a cheap ******* and rather spend more on my 8yo son.
thanks

IS something wrong with stock speakers?

IF not leave them - cannot get cheaper than not buying anything.
Otherwise visit CRUTCHFIELD to see what fits and prices.
