Japanese E350 Wagon imported to Australia, can the SatNav be updated to Aussie Maps?
Hey guys,
Looking at buying a 'grey import' Japanese delivered E350 Wagon, 2014 facelift model, price is very good, low miles/klms (72,000 klms / 45000 miles) thats been imported into Australia as a second hand car.
Looks identical to the E200 pic below.
Some trivia Australia never got offered the 3.5 V6 only the E400 twin turbo version so there aren't any E350s delivered here.
I ran the VIN and its got some nice options, no sunroof is a bit of a let down, no DAB radio but has DTV WDD2122592A958653
As its a Japanese delivery I know the menus etc. can display in English but the SatNav is loaded for Japan only.
Does anyone know if its possible to re-flash or update the Nav to show Aussie maps? Does the system still use DVDs?
I have a E350 S211 2007 wagon and it had a DVD Nav system buried in the back, not sure if its possible to use that DVD, even though its outdated by a long way.
