DIY Oil Injection/Transfer - for Differential oil change

Sharing...............

I only have pressurized bottle for brake fluid change. From Motive.

I been doing DIY like below to inject new DIFF fluid.
Only need 3 psi worth of pumping and it is very controllable , the flow of oil.

I love MityVac, it is so useful and reliable.

The key is keep the seal tight.

01. Make sure the white foam seal outer perimeter where it will sit on the bottle edge is good.
02. The hole drilled for the 2 hoses on the oil cap is to be smaller than the hose a bit, hence compression will occur between the hose and the hole, no air leak.

To prevent filler hose from whipping or loose, use rubber bung.

1st liter done...........

Final 0.35 liter I use the blue bucket to catch oil overflow.

Logged in log book and written on DIFF casing

11,588KM and 22 month of service. Oil looks okey. Still very clean, unlike 1st oil change after installation of the ABT-LSD at running in of 1,700KM.

Tranny oil change in progress. All fluids max life is 2 years on my car, except coolant which I will do 3-4 years.
